THE TRIP ALTOGETHER 

Friday 26th

On Friday morning we departed from my house at around 5:30am and although I planned on staying awake and sleeping on the coach and train I ended up going to bed at around 1 and only got 3 hours sleep. I personally didn’t sleep at all on the coach or train and we arrived around 1pm and rushed straight to the hotel to sleep. First thing was a shower because it looked like it needed to be used haha. I crashed for 2-3 hours soon after and met the other group that took the later coach/train. They arrived at 6 and the girls started to get ready and so did I. all of the other guys who travelled with my bf and me were already at the venue to get ready for a sound check. Managed to get a cab there around 7:30pm. When we arrived at the venue there was a tattoo artist in the back finishing off a tattoo and then later on got drunk and let all 3 dancers tattoo our names on his leg :) that was interesting. I did ask if he’ll ever regret it and he said its just memories so no. I had to down a couple of shots of tequila and a few glasses of Jack Daniels and Coke before I had the guts to hop on stage to dance for the whole set. It was a good night though and it had been so long since I last performed for anyone. Around 3am we were all drunk (I wasn’t that drunk but some of the guys were trashed). We all decided to get a cab back to the hotel and crash because the venue owner (Mac) asked the band to play again for Saturday night and we all decided that much rest was needed. As we got back to the hotel room, my bf and I decided to make the most of the room and had an amazing session of lovemaking ;) It was fantastic, it felt like it had been too long since we last spent any time together just enjoying each other. I had the best sleep. 

Saturday 27th

My bf and I woke up later than the rest of the others and as soon as we were up, I jumped in the shower and him after me. I got ready and dressed to go and explore the town centre. Our friend Andy (the bassist) told us about a comic book shop that had amazing stuff. I ended up buying The Hobbit as it is the only book they have the rights to turn into a comic, I thought soon enough it’ll be pretty rare to get. My bf got the Metal Gear Solid comic novel. The shop was incredible, I would have easily spent £500 in there because they had amazing Thor books :( I want! We then headed back to the hotel and I ordered some pizza which I only had 2 slices of as it was not too brilliant although everyone else loved it. I indulged in free hot chocolate :) and then we got ready to head off to the Hollywood & Vine (the venue) for a second night that we all had high hopes for, the night before on the first song the guitarist broke 2 strings and played the rest of the gig out of tune, so there was room for improvements on the second night. We didn’t need to worry too much about how well we behaved either as it was our last night of partying. We arrived at the venue in another cab and we chilled for a while in the back (the owners flat) and watched “Taken” and “Mirrors”. Saw Nadz (the tattoo artist) and I again asked how he feels about letting us tattoo our names on him and he was still very happy with it. We then got ready to go on stage again for the 2nd night and I realised I didn’t have long to get myself tipsy to get on stage again so I ran to the bar and got 5-6 drinks and drank it all in the period of 30 mins and then I was good to go on stage. The performance was a hit as it was the night before, but it was even better than the night before because no strings broke and all the band members were happy. We partied hard all night and managed to get back to the hotel around 5.30am in an amazing cab because the driver pumped up the volume to the stereo and we were dancing all the way back. I was so hungry when we got back but there was no way of getting any food. I did manage to get another hot chocolate though. I then managed to get a packet of crisps from my friend Joe. I then jumped in the shower before crashing. My whole body was aching so much from all the dancing and carrying bags that I can say I hit the pillow and I was gone. 

Sunday 28th

we woke up at 10am and got ready and packed up to head to the coach station in time to board at 12:50pm. We waited around for around an hour all tired and hungry. The coach arrived and all of the band members and myself were all on the same travel sheet and the others had their own. It turns out that our 3 o’clock coach was cancelled and they told us we had to get the 1 o’clock one which was a lie as there wasn’t enough seats for us all. We had to say goodbye to the others and wait around for another 6 hours before we left. We decided to head back to the venue as we had all our bags and the band had all their equipment and we couldn’t really do much with all of our things, besides all that, there is bugger all to do up north on Sundays. We got a cab there and just chilled in the pub (as it was closed) we just sat with the staff and played pool. My bf got a free tattoo from Nadz right before we left and soon we were on the cab back to the coach station. We actually got the same cab driver as the night before who pumped up the volume again! We just made it in time to get on the coach (thanks to me saying we should leave early just in case we don’t make it on time). My bf said on the coach “why do you always have to be right?” lol. We were finally on our way back. Managed to get back to my mum’s house at 12am, I had to stay at hers as my sister was in London visiting and was going to head back to Manchester the next day. My bf got home at 1:30 or something because he had to wait 45 mins for a cab to come and get him. On Monday I went to meet my bf and I was struggling so much to stay awake. I could have literally fallen asleep walking (gives sleep walking another meaning) I think the lack of sleep had just caught up with me. I had not been that tired since god knows when. 

I loved my time away and it sucks that it’s over. There was so much more to the whole trip than what I’ve managed to write down but it would take me forever to write all.
